Basically, a hemorrhoid is a swollen vein that is similar to a varicose vein, on or around the anus and rectal area. The affected area can be painful, itch, swell and bleed. These pillows are specifically constructed to more effectively relieve the pressure on hemorrhoids. This condition can make it very uncomfortable to sit down when inflamed, and most regular chairs do not provide sufficient comfort and support for someone who has them. Besides alleviating the symptoms, these pillows may also help prevent a person from aggravating the condition, especially when sitting for extended periods of time.
